When to use:

Deer need minerals year-round to supplement their natural diet, but they tend to use them more during the spring and summer. In particular, February or March is a good time to start putting out minerals for deer because bucks need more minerals to support antler growth and does need more to support fetal growth. Deer also need salt in the spring to balance the high water content in new vegetation.
